Trey, that's a nice looking knife your showing
. I'm currently carrying a Wostenholm IXL, Celebrated, wood - handled, 3 bladed ( 1 of the secondary blades has about 1 / 3 of the tip missing ). I haven't a clue as to what type of wood the handles are, but am quite sure it's not ebony as is my 1 other Wostenholm. It's also a lot lighter in my pocket than is it's bigger brother I own. Sorry that I'm not able to show pics, but currently traveling and hope to be home ( Oregon ) soon and can put up a pic or 2. Did score on some new, old stock, razor blades, made by Pal Blade Co. ( 5 unopened boxes X 4 blades ea. ) 1940'ish while on my travels. Trey, again, very nice knife ! MM did a wonderful job as is any of his work that I've seen.

Tried & True. Used extremely hard, sharpened many many times, abused at times, and it's still just like me.......old, scratched up, and gettin' the job done day after day. Buck Quick-Fire (assisted opening). I also carry a Victorinox tinker, or a Case canoe in my other pocket.

If I remember correctly it's called the Tempest. I've had it for about 8 or 10 years now.garddogg56 wrote:Sasquach I've never seen a Quickfire like thatI like it

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
That would explain why I've been having a problem locating another one. I've been keeping an eye out for one to put on the shelf to have in the unlikely event that this one fails. I figure if I never use it I'll just add it to my collection. The closest thing I've found in the catalogs is a slightly smaller model called the Rush.

Ok... it's happening. I might become a 2 knife at a time person. I find this concerning.
Problem is, I want to have a larger knife on me all the time. Something with a blade around 3". But I'm finding that people tend to wig out when I use one like that in ways that they don't with a sub 3" bladed pocket knife. Well... I have more than 1 pocket...
Today, Ulster Camper in the front right and Buck 500 in the back right pocket.

All my jeans don't have the same depth, size or location of pockets (what I get for shopping at garage sales and resale shops!)
Only room for one knife and one light.
Imperial Scout baby! Used the punch already to make my belt a bit tighter.
Well..... my little SAK hangs from a belt loop along with my ARC AAA. Because two is one and one is none!

Mike, it's funny you should mention gloves.
This is one of the easiest knives to open while wearing work gloves.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I am a geek. As in real honest to goodness, get paid for it and can't hide it in public type of geek.
I have this small pouch that I've been carrying for years now. It is my geek pouch. It has a small caribiner on it and it easily attaches to my belt loops. It used to carry my cell phone and Palm Pilot. Yes, you read that right. Palm Pilot. Now, it carries my cell phone and much smaller iPod Touch. Yes, you read that right. Still two devices. As I said, I'm real, no kidding geek.
Anyway, now that the fat Palm Pilot is gone and replaced with a smaller iPod Touch, one of the pockets has enough room to carry a knife. My trimmed down Opinel #9 fits perfectly there. So, voila! Schrade 5OT in the RFP and Opinel #9 in the geek pouch. Perfect.
Regarding my (cyclist's) courier bag, why yes, it is my "man purse". That's where I carry my gun.

At THIS moment my very good old Imperial Scout is left front.
And my VERY good for the price "Boker" M004 (Chinese) is in my back pocket.
It did a very good job today of chopping weeds, cutting a gas line and cutting the drive belt on a riding mower we are keeping the motor of while the rest goes over the scale!
