You are right, GardDogg, ran into the same thing with my middle Son. Sports and Music capitalized all his time, and we were definitely torn ... I guess we will see what gives with this last guy ... I do believe he got da Eagle in him, though ...garddogg56 wrote:You know something" On Edge "Scouting is great the problem is when kids hit Jr High Sports puts such a time demand on these kids they have to choose between the two my twins tryed both till eight grade then they choose sportsall ya can do is support the boys and get involved..Jerry,you are so right on

Whoa. Cool 500, Overtech!
My 500 (bottom) and new trimmed down Opinel #9 (second from top) are playing tag to see who gets carried.

The Opinel #8 (second from bottom) is getting left behind. The nice wide belly of the Opinel #9 makes the Buck 500's blade seem a bit on the thin side. The #8 feels like pencil now.

Today and most days: right jacket pocket = Queen/Burke Barlow// left jacket pocket = Opinel #8// right shirt pocket=Al Mar Ultra Lite Eagle
Tough to choose a favorite. Based on frequency of use I'd pick the Barlow.

Wearing Dickies work pants instead of carpenter jeans today, so reached for a thin knife. Picked up the Schrade 5OT for old time's sake. Feels anemic next to the Buck 500, but the lines are really graceful. The green scales have grown on me too.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Yesterday I carried the GEC Gino sent me.
And the 834Y Schrade Walden that Donald (gringo) sent me for precision cutting. It is scary sharp!!!
Today I am carrying the GEC and the 896K Schrade Walden that Phil (philco) sent me. Along with those I carry my Spyderco Endura. Man, the steel in these old Schrade Walden knives sharpen up like a razors!
I have so many great knives sent by awesome AAPK friends I have to rotate them, or my pants will fall down, (and that would not be a good thing).
