GardDog, great Scout stuff. I hear ya about the experience … as it happens, I was at a Klondike Derby just yesterday with my youngest … he is about to cross over to Boy Scouts, and they invited the Cubs to join them.

My wife and I were just talkin' about how Scouting is the last stand for so many of the most important things that our society and culture are forcing out or letting slip … getting our boys into Scouting was possibly the best thing we ever did for them … I have an eleven-year-old that has more man in him than half the "men" I come across these days.

You know something" On Edge "Scouting is great the problem is when kids hit Jr High Sports puts such a time demand on these kids they have to choose between the two my twins tryed both till eight grade then they choose sports all ya can do is support the boys and get involved..Jerry,you are so right on

Inspired by garddogg56 I pulled out my box of old things and carried my Eagle Scout Buck today. Back when Buck knifes was located in San Diego they would give every eagle scout in the council a tour and a knife.
