Thanks, Perry.

I know what you mean, I think the Cattleman was built on a 53 frame and there's not a whole lotta difference between 'em.

I only wish the bolsters were pinched and threaded … and angled!

Yep, me too Paul! Northwoods has done some threading but to my knowledge, I haven't seen any slanted bolsters. Have you?

I think its classy.

That one feature (sprucing up the bolsters) has made more than one purchase decision for me, I can tell you that …

Oh I'm right there with ya Paul! Harder to do and adds so much to the knife as it ages. ::nod::

I'm with you 2xTap, the 56 is one of my all-time favorite GEC patterns! Great stash you've picked up lately - some really beautiful Jacks …

Perry! The stag on that 56 is primo! Both of those are beauties!

Finaly landed this one today. Been trying to buy it at a reasonable price for over a year.
Northfield 2 1/2" pen with what I think are ivory handles. It passed the tooth and hot pin tests.

The Bare End or Dogleg is really nice in the hand but I do like the Congress as well.
