I need these two to get good patinas going before I can move on down the line and get the other ones field tested.

Hey, What’s that white tube to the left in your picture?
I've found a few of them while digging around where an old dump was located.
Thought they were old wire insulators for going through joists in old houses.

Thanks G - Dog~
Thought that's what it was.
When I return to the dump area for more scrounging around I'll see if I can find the ones I disregarded and give them a try.
I would think they are easy to carry around in your pocket as a quick sharpener.

This old Schrade displaced my Christmas Buck 500 today. Today is a patina sort of day, if you know what I mean. Man, I miss winter. November has lasted 3 months now....

I've got a slightly over 4.5" "lamp" like that and it works VERY well on edges!

Used both my SOG Twitch II and Case Yellow 'nut.

The Case actually seemed to cut better! Love that CV!

I am going to have to get my Twitch II out again, its been some time since I have used it. Very cool little knife and for its size it has a wicked fast open.

Today's carry. I'm used to a half congress, but this one wasn't so thick that it felt bulky.

In all the years as a carpenter here in Connecticut and Provincetown, Ma., I have run across a good many of those old tubes. Wish I would have thought to use one as a sharpener. Do they really work? I love left turn usage like that.

Yea Gino the only reason I'm having a hard time with it is my other EDC assist is a Kershaw Scallion which I believe is a better blade and clips better in the pocket ::nod:: FRJ that insulator really works great my Grandpa allways had the two in his pocket when he was in the woods.I don't keep it in my pocket because I'm allways near a coffee cup
