What you need to know about the company.

Our new company has 60 years of experience in the cutlery industry. We specialize in highly collectable and premium quality usable pocket knives, hunting knives and kitchen knives. All our knives are built with American craftsmanship and traditional hands on manufacturing methods right here in Titusville, PA at the site formerly known as Cyclops Specialty Steel. The public is welcome to come into our historic building and see skilled craftsman at work in a unique and panoramic manufacturing environment.

We will soon be completing our first production runs of pocket knives that will be available in very limited quantities. All these knives were started in 2006 and are stamped with the 2006 date and serial numbered. These will be highly crafted traditional pocket knives handled with exotic wood, cattle bone and India stag antler.

Are there any folks on AAPK selling Great Eastern Knives??? Nothing against anyone else but I would rather give first shot to AAPK knife dealers..

I got mine yesterday, #20 of 250. Let me tell you what, you get alot of knife for what you pay for!!! Nice big thick heavy duty knife.
Very, very, very strong pull and snap. 1st time opening this bad boy I thought I was going to yank my thumbnail off! I got the Amber Horsecut Jig, and I am pleased.
There are a couple improvements I would like to see, after handeling this 1st run. And maybe its just mine, or others can compare.
There is plenty of handle, I would like to see the shield placed a little deeper. With the horse cut jig, about 1/3 of the shield you can slide your finger nail under. Just leaves a place for "stuff" to accumulate, or a risk of getting caught on something to bend etc etc.
The blades I am pleased with, very think and alot of steel. There are a couple spots wear it looks like it was not buffed up properly, or polished correctly. I will try and get some pictures added tonight to show what I am talking about.
I think those were the only 2 things that grab my attention, and would like to see improved on this knife, overall I am very satisfied with my purchase, and look forward to seeing more knives from this company!
