Shepherd Hills Cutlery
Have any of you guys ordered from this company? I see that Case is going to issue a 100th Anniversary of the Eagle Scout Award knife for 2012 and I would like to own one. The knives are not available yet per the websites I have visited (SMKW and SHC). I assume that to be sure of getting one I need to put it on B/O and want to know how reliable these on-line dealers are. As an alternate are any of you guys that deal here at AAPK going to offer this knife - that would work for me as well? Thanks and Happy New Year!

that's how SHC works with sfo knives.
no problems with them, if you don't b/o
it, you prolly won't get it...

Made one order from Shepard Hills so far and it was satisfactory. Shipping cost was reasonable and it came in time for a Christmas present that had to be given early. Delivery was within the time they said. Seems their retail prices are competitive. Treefarmer

I've had good results in my dealings with Shepherd Hills as well. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I'll add that I've placed one order with them with no problems at all. And I'll order from them again.

Re: Shepherd Hills Cutlery
I have nothing but good experiences with SHC, top notch dealer and good prices comparable with SMKW and the tv sales guys. I had to wait about 2 months on a back-order (that I knew about before ordering) but they came through and didn't charge me until the order was ready to ship. One of my favorite places to buy from and a huge selection. If I ever make it out to visit my cousin in KC we're definitely visiting their building in Branson, MO.

Re: Shepherd Hills Cutlery
The first day of every month Shepherd Hills has a customer appreciation deal, this morning it was this large Hunter with a brass script in Calypso bone FOR UNDER $45! But I think they're gone and they changed the knife; http://www.casexx.com/CaseXXCustomerAppreciation.asp
Still some Hot Buy deals, I like that Sowbelly.
Get on their e-mail list for future deals.

Shepherd hills cutlery has been great, recently I Ordered a Case Carhartt Trapper molasses bone, and an empty Case sportsmen day of the week box that I could put my own patterns in competitive pricing and fast shipping.

Re: Shepherd Hills Cutlery
gardogg: I have personally sent out and paid for materials which specified next day or third day and which were not delivered in a timely manner. Consequently, the delay may not be due to SH inefficiency. Admittedly it could be. But my first instinct is to blame the carrier whether UPS, Fed Ex or USPS.
Delays can also occur due to weather, plane breakdowns etc. If it turns out to be SH let them know your dissatisfaction.

In today's email from Shepherd Hills, you now have to actually call to see what the Customer Appreciation knife of the day is.
