Can anyone give me enlightenment on the probable date of this?

I would venture that this was probably made(or at least engraved)in the 1920's to early 1930's.Being a sign painter by trade,I often study the various styles(or fonts as they are properly called)of letters.

Letter styles evolve over time and that particular style was popular in the era I mentioned.Nice knife by the way.I have a near identical knife by Camillus .

This would date the knife post WWI if the font was popular in the 20's and 30's.

The question now becomes how much should I do to the nicked edges if anything at all?

My last name matches the inscription and the knife appeals to me but I don't want damage any history.
