Not so nice but they qualify. Top one is a Pakistani product, a guy I went through boot camp with sent to me. The middle one is a Kissing Crane KC-45. Bottom one is for scale.

Here is a machete made from a planer blade (similar to the one in the foreground) by a great uncle of mine.
It probably weighs close to 8 lbs.

The steel is 5/16” thick! I wouldn’t want to tangle with the guy who can swing this thing all day long!

Are you are referring to the hole in the blade?
That is just a hole, not sure what the purpose is. They have that on a lot of their knives.
I believe the pattern is called the Mountain Knife.
The steel is fairly thin and the knife is pretty light weight, but is razor sharp!

They have some pretty interesting patterns on their website.

hello just bought this knife, stamped edge brand solingen germany... engraved texas hunter on blade.... im informed that its from the 50s - 70s, can anyone confirm when it was made and also why it is engraved "texas hunter" ??

A couple of Papa's hunters. The Big Marb is older than me pre 1938 - - Not sure how he came by it but he was very possessive of it. He would occasionally let Mom use it to slice the hog jowel in camp, but he was stingy with it if we wanted to skin something or just whittle a tent peg.

The LoKnife was his only big knife purchase as far as I remember. He was a child of Swedish emigrants and the hand forged blade, from Sweden, plus the other features made it attractive to him. He also knew the man in Independence Missouri who made the knives. Probably circa 1970s

I treasure them both but the Big Marb is king of the hill. . .

The blade on the Marbles is almost 7" and stays so sharp it is uncanny. Papa made this Sheath in the exact dimensions and style of the old one. The embossed stamp was his registered Arizona Saddle Makers stamp and he stamped his initials there also.

It is a model 7 with a 5" blade.I've owned it for 25 years and it was old when I got it.I don't know when he started making stainless models but it has a stainless blade. There is a man's name on the blade so I'm sure I could find out by contacting Randall.
