Thanks guys! The ivory feels incredible in your hand; sensual, sorta. I'm really happy with the way they came out; the white ivory goes well with the simple lines of the 72 stainless and the cracked tusk came out incredible on the 73L! The slabs had quite a radius to them and I was unsure if they were gonna work, but they worked perfectly! ::super_happy::

Wow, very nice Monk!! Here are two I had rehandled in micarta. I also asked that the shields be re-pinned and a lanyard hole be added to the #73.

Thanks guys. I think the paper (I assume) micarta GEC is using is nice but their patterns would look great in some of the more figured micarta too.

I agree, it just misses. To me those were a little boring in the Micarta from GEC.

Thanks Glenn. Yep, the #53 was the stained green tea. The #73 was a standard green tea that I had a duplicate of. I kept one that had lighter more translucent bone. The one I replaced had a solid color that just wasn't as interesting to me.

Had a hunch I might be right on that. My sole 53 stockman is that stained green tea bone. Got it at a gun & knife show only because the price was too good to pass up. It surely wasn't because I thought the color was interesting. ::facepalm:: I do like the horsecut style of jigging though.
