Thanx everyone it's nice to be able to show someone part of your collection and have them appreciate it as much as you do. I don't have any friends who collect knives so this website is a great place for me. Yes I did make the display it is my first attempt at it. I was trying to make something to match a theme and still look respectful. The new theme style handles that they are coming up with is really cool. I wan't to get some of the rattlesnake and lizard skin and do something similar with them. Oh nice trapper.

That is a very cool display idea ::tu:: . How many do you have? Are they all in one big display? Should work well with the rattlesnake handles too. :) s-k

This made me think again

Rattlesnakes rattle their tails to make a warning noise.
Then why is it they can not hear? How does that work? ::shrug::

Not meant to hijack...

They have no ears. They use their tongue to "taste" the air and ground areas for odors. They also use the pits on the head (They are Pit Vipers) to feel heat. They can see well, even at night.

Now, back to our regular programming. ::nod:: :D

Hi Ken,

I think they can sense vibrations but mostly the warning is intended for their natural enemies many of whom have very good hearing. El Lobo and his relatives for eg. ::nod:: s-k
