Manufacturing dates and values for Ulster Scout and Camillus

Help from the experts would be much appreciated.

These are going to be gifted to a 9 year old. Prolly the Camillus now and the Ulster later.

Date of Manufacture for this 1502 Camillus? I think it might bring $75?

Scale material on this Stockman Camillus 65 I think is Delrin.

Maybe cleaned up a bit $25

A picture of the tang stamp or an exact line by line description of what it says would help in fixing a date range for the Ulster scout. You are in the ballpark for the value. I've seen similar ones sell from $60-$80 on ebay.

The Camillus has a tang stamp that places it in the 1960-1976 range. If it's 3-3/8" closed it's most likely a Junior Premium Stock Knife and the handles look to me like "Grain White Pyroxylin" (#63) or maybe "Maize Pyroxylin" (#66). Pyroxylin was another name for Celluloid. Check the back of the main blade to see if there is a pattern number there.


Edit: Okay, saw your post in the other thread. The #65 is still a Junior Premium Stock Knife but the handles are "Agate Pyroxylin", so still Celluloid.

The best I can narrow it down, that Ulster scout would have been produced sometime between about 1927 and 1940. Hope that helps.
