All my good Bulldog knives are posted by some one else on this forum.. ::paranoid:: But I'll see what I can come up with... This is one of my favorites...Its a one of a kind..I think ::shrug:: anyway both blades have different etchs and the backs of both blades are engraved "Prototype"

August Scheidtmann

Post by Willy »

Mr. August Scheidtmann was the Master Cutler at Bulldog for many years.. This set of warncliff whittlers was the first of its type released.. The larger knife is the Thor model and this was the first Thor made.. all are signed by August.. I could be wrong but I think he was in his 80's when he made these and some of the 25th anniversary set.. He also made the 5 blade Anglos.. Im sure he is well into retirment by now... There not making any more like him. Old world craftsmanship going away fast ::tear::

Dang Willy, you sure have some real nice Bulldogs, to bad they still do not have the quality they once had. Along with the Barlows, these Warncliffe patterns also have become my favorites. Willy, Do you recognize any of these?

They made VERY few Tiger Coral in ANY model. I working on getting a 25th anniversary Tiger Coral 4 1/8 Trapper and a 3 7/8 4 blade Congress ::ds:: , we're hagglin on cash, he knows EXACTLY what he has. Fun to haggle, but, in the end I'll have to pony up.

Keep em coming Willy, we would all like to see, you have some nice and very rare 25th's amongst others.

I agree with James that the congress is really one great looking knife. But that is almost hard to say because most of the knives posted on this topic are way beyond great...!!!!

Thanks for showing them to us.. :)
