This GEC is cutting into whatever crosses my cutting needs path these days. I placed it in my DU Schrade Sheath on my belt.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I've been deer hunting quite a bit lately and prefer a heavier duty pocket knife for that purpose, so I have carried this Remington (Camillus) Trapper the last two days. It is 4 1/8" closed and quite a bit bigger than the medium stockman and small jackknife's I prefer for normal EDC use. I bought it used from a pawn shop for $10, but it was in nearly new shape - good enough for the job at hand without being too valuable to lose.

Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

Been carrying the DWO since 85' and working the Leek into the rotation as of late.

This beauty has been on me since bear season, it's been a great friend in the woods.
I had it on the opening day of deer season too and I used it to skin out my 8 point.

Gino those are great, do I see a lack of etching on that #73L?
It will be a while before you can find me without a GEC on me, right now I'm belting that same #73Scout, it's a great backup worker.
Here is the non-GEC that I have been toting.

I did my best tip up mod today on a gas station China knife. I made a sorry excuse for a lanyard.
And it is clipped in my shorts pocket just now.
Pic tomorrow or so.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Dave, it's a WWII Engineers knife.
It's made by Imperial or Camillus, I'm not 100% on who made it.
It has an excellent carbon steel blade, it took a quick edge and now it won't it go.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Johnny, would love to see the other blades on the engineer's knife.
Dave, interesting tip on the leather punch on that Keencutter.
Picked up a Bucklite Max Medium (that's sort of a confusing name) 482 at Walmart last night as a part of Buck's Christmas tin. Came with a leeetle teeeny tiny lockback that my son'll get in his stocking.
This version of the 482 lacks the thumbstud on the blade and lacks the pocket clip - both huge wins for me as I dislike both. It's very light, fist the hand well and the blade shape is great. Put it to good use last night in my shop. Much more useful that the more extreme clip point of the 112 type knives. Still, the 482 is not a pretty knife. Nobody'll say, "Gee, that's a nice looking knife" when it gets deployed. It's more of a toss it in the tool box and don't cry about it type of thing. Actually, this one is going to get put in my backpacking "essentials" bag.
In any event, this is a very, very pocketable knife. Just ugly. Wonder if they could make that handle out of wood...
