I'm just the opposite of you Mike. I can't find anything that just jumps out and says "buy me". I've noticed in the last couple of months that everything that I like has gone up in price and am finding it harder and harder to buy anything at a reasonable price, unless the blades are broken, or the handles are broken or they're just plaine worn out. SIGH ::facepalm::

TJ save up your money and drive over for the Lewisburg knife show at the end of February. We'll find you some oldies but goodies you can afford. ::ds::

Re-reading this thread is like browsing though a candy store....
Just picked these two up at SMKW last week. The Boker stag is th first stag that's grabbed me in a while. I usually prefer jigged bone. The Bear-made replica of the Remington scout knife is nice (2009). They had them on sale! Good fit and finish on this one.

Arrived today my Sanrenmu GB-763. Pic tomorrow when I can get a good one.

Smaller and lighter than I thought it would be. Axis lock works great. Nice deep hide tip up clip.

Came as sharp as I know I could get it!

If only I could do something better than I can for a lanyard. You'll see when I get the pic.

Ricky,

Can I see a close-up of the bolster on the Remington repo, where the bail is attached?

Looks caved in?

Hey M.B.
Not caved in, but there is a big scuff where I've been playing with the bail.
Musta been either some garbage on the bolster or some kinda optical delusion. lol

Thanks for the pic ::tu::

I think the backside of the bail was left rough when it was made and it is also pinned too tight to the bolster so it is grinding the bolster down when it swivels ::doh::

Is that the Indian River? That's my current heart throb. ::drool::
Anything more to say than Man O Man?
Fit, finish, walk, talk, convex edge, steel, etc.? The brand seems to have a variety of steels.
I haven't got one yet only because they seem to have a good stock so I have time to get some more opinions and it's
not a very common brand.

Here it is! Sanrenmu GB-763. 13 buck axis lock SHARP tip up carry knife!
Image

A little smaller and lighter than I thought it would be. The package was a block of foam with the box/knife in the middle. Was so light I thought it was empty!

Got it yesterday. REALLY need to figure out how to make/e a lanyard that would do it justice.

Here's a couple I picked up from Charlie Noyes. They were surplus from his 60's Robeson display. They were shipped quick and came very well packaged. The one is about as near mint as you could hope for, the other with stress cracks at the center pin is destined for a bit of customizing. Thanks again, Charlie!

I found it interesting that the knives are identical, except one is flat ground on both sides, the other saber ground on the front side only. Not sure why.
