What do you guys think of this knife, and do you know of the seller.....he sells alot of old knives.

Anyone ever seen this tang stamp before?

i bought a knife a long time ago from him. the blade was bent. not in the discription. this is not a condemnation. the tang mark is shown in witcher's counterfeit book. says used on smaller knives mainly. 1920-1940. no opinion on integrety of knife.

I don't know much about Case knives, and I'm new to reading knives in general, but the knife pictures raise a couple of questions for me. Is it common to have two different styles of nail nicks on the two blades? And are the tangs of the blades usually that different from each other?

That is an authentic Case Tested 92042. Blades appear to have been roughly cleaned. That tang marking is authentic and is a variation sometimes used on smaller knives. And on older Case knives, spear and clip master blades often had long pull, small pen blades will always have regular pull.

Ding Ding Ding...Knifeaholic wins a jelly bean!!
I tossed this in the couterfeit knife watch to see if this knife would be tarer and featherd. The tang stamp is not common, but 100% legitimate. Thanks for playing everyone, good to have fellow "knifeaholics" around!
