While doing some other reading, I ran across mention of part of the Camillus factory collection being sold off. The listing is here: http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/camillu ... ection.htm
These are mostly prototypes and factory samples of production; military-related for the most part. It is well worth a look for anyone interested in Camillus military production, as well as Camillus fixed blades. There is some very unusual stuff there!

Camillus Factory Collection
Quality should not be an accident. So what is the explanation for some of the knives we've seen in the past few years? (from A Knifebuyer's Manifesto)

Jim I believe you nailed it, I'd forgot all about Frank's site...lot's of good info. As to the factory collection...WOW...talk about
one of a kind's, a fellow would sure have some bragging right's. Of course 19 knives for $15,000...you better have some deep
pocket's. It would be nice if knives like that could end up in a museum.

Re: Camillus Factory Collection
I wish it could be donated to a place where the history would be kept, maybe researched further, the knives restored and protected and put on display for coming generations.
…or if I had a million $ I could do it myself…..
