Crazy Glue and sanding

Post by jaswarb »

I want to sand Sambar Stag. I seem to recall reading here about gluing stag to a block of wood with instant glue to form a handle making it easier to feed the stag into the sander and then merely giving the stag a whack to dislodge it from the wood.

Searching the topic has proven fruitless, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Better yet anyone willing to share a description of the technique?
My two cents and worth just what you paid.

Sounds like a good idea but if you use crazy glue, when you "knock" the piece loose you're going to leave material behind. A double sided tape may be better.
