Congratulations on paying off your truck. Good feeling isn't it.

Isn't that considered a concealed weapon in your state? Oh, wait a minute. What am I thinking. It's Texas we're talking about here.

It is legal to carry concealed in Texas as long as it is smaller than a Stinger missile, right? ::shrug::

Dale, I don't think a Ma-Deuce is legal for CC there.

Guess I won't be moving there then.

Of course if you are big enough to conceal a Ma-Deuce on your person, you probably don’t need one!

True. Too true. ::nod::

For anyone in our studio audience who may not be familiar with the weapon refered to as "Ma-Deuce", I'm including a short primer.

The M2 Machine Gun, Browning .50 Caliber Machine Gun, is a heavy machine gun designed towards the end of World War I by John Browning. It is very similar in design to Browning's earlier M1919 Browning machine gun, which was chambered for the .30-06 cartridge. The M2 uses the larger and more powerful .50 BMG cartridge, which was named for the gun itself (BMG standing for Browning Machine Gun). The M2 has been referred to as "Ma Deuce", or "the fifty" in reference to its caliber. The design has had many specific designations; the official designation for the current infantry type is Browning Machine Gun, Cal. .50, M2, HB, Flexible. It is effective against infantry, unarmored or lightly armored vehicles and boats, light fortifications and low-flying aircraft.

Weight: 38 kg (83.78 lb)
58 kg (127.87 lb) with tripod and T&E
Length: 1,656 mm (65.2 in)
Barrel length: 1,143 mm (45.0 in)
Cartridge: .50 BMG (12.7×99mm NATO)
Action: Short recoil-operated
Rate of fire: 450–635 rounds/min (M2HB)[3][4]
750–850 rounds/min (AN/M2)
1,200 rounds/min (AN/M3)
Muzzle velocity: 2,910 ft/s (890 m/s) for M33 ball
Effective range: 1,800 m (2,000 yd)[3]
Maximum range: 2,000 m (2,200 yd)
Feed system: Belt-fed (M2 or M9 links)

So I had to go into the court house the other day, (doe tags). Before even leaving the truck I do the pat down, knives in glove compartment I'm ready to go. We walk in, my brother steps through the metal detectors, I step through, "Sir, can you step over here and spread your arms"? ::paranoid::  My heart starts pounding at this point, who did I forget to take out. ::shrug:: I'm thinking of the knife that I left in a pocket, ::dang:: "Are you wearing a belt sir? YES I AM. ::groove::

No one left behind, I felt naked for a few minutes though, I had to spend a little extra time with my knives when I got back to the truck. ::nod::

Work day, which means I'm in a two piece, so I'm wearin' one of my suit combos …

Caly 3 CF in LRP, #57 in Burnt Stag in RFP, Stag #33 w/ coping secondary in RFP change pocket, Honeybee on keys (attached w/ a very small 'biner style clip so I can pop it off).

… OK, that's better …

(what would the sheeple-suits think?!)
