Is that stamp etched on instead of stamped?
I believe Tom Williams told me that was one of the cost cutting measures they took to repurpose blades originally with a different stamp.
Do you see how the tang area looks different than the rest of the blade?
I think that is because the tang stamp had been ground off and the etch applied.
I have had several that way, all produced shortly before they closed.
