need info on this old Case

I recently acquired this knife on ebay in a box of 38 knives and other items. I have spent many hours trying to identify it. I would greatly appreciate any info you knife experts can provide, regarding age, worth... etc. Thanks, Paul

Its a pre-1920 era Case work knife, I would guess you could get at least $50-75 out of it. I'd give $35.00 but im cheap.

WWI US Navy sailor's jack knife. Several companies made these. They are rare in minty condition but fairly common in well used condition.

Hi Paul M and Welcome. Actually your knife is a WWI military issue. It was produced for the U.S. Navy Dept. The order was dated July 5th 1917, and called for 81,667 knives at a cost of $0.3949 each. There were several other makers of this knife other than Case.

thanks to everyone for the info.
I also sent the pics to Case and Jim in customer relations informed me
that it is indeed a WW 1 Naval issue Pattern 6202 R F LP
I'm new to this and admit I'm addicted.
Time to get back to work. Paul
