Antique Case XX Fixed Blade Knife Need Help To I.D.

I recently found this old knife at the bottom of a fishing tackle box I purchased for 20.00. I'm know expert or collector of knives just fishing gear. This is an older case xx fixed blade knife and from the info I could find on their website with the tang marking on this its a pre 1920 knife. The knife is about 8 in long with the blade about half the length. I was hoping someone might recognize it and know the model name and or the period its from. Its not in the best shape in the world but for its age its still sharp. Are these worth anything? Thanks any information will do.

Not pre 1920. More likely 1940's to 1960's.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you... If you Check out AAPK.com you will see why. They I.D the Case knives dates on the tangs of the blade. The stamp on this Blade is the Case XX mark from pre 1920 according to the experts. The 1940-1960s has the case over the xx not along side to verify age. Thanks for the the reply.

That why I'm new oops no disrespect. I guess Stamp mark has confused me because from what the I.D. page showed as pre 1920 stamps.

I've often wondered why Case had one tang stamp marking for folding knives and another for fixed blade knives of the same era.

by the way, Steve has a great book out on Case knives ...... definitely worth the price, informative reading, and well put together.

( My 2 yr old granddaughter decided since it( Steve's book ) was in Grandpa's bathroom it probably needed to be flushed down the toilet .... I guess I caught her on the 2nd or 3rd attempt, anyway ... hung the book up to dry and it's as good as new )
