Catteragus Japan?

Post by atlatl55 »

I just received a very nice Cattaraugus knife. I cant find any info on this particular knife.
The main clip blade has, Cattaraugus, Springdale, Ark. and ATS34 on blade.. The other side of the blade has, K.C.C., CM15, Japan.

Thanks Paul, I just did some google looking and your right AG Russell owns the Cattaraugus name. I do have to say that these japan made Cattar knives are some of the finest knives I have seen. This one is in VGC and I think the $15 was a deal .

I'm pretty sure Catt went out of business before ATS-34 was invented.

I am sure the original Catt was gone before ats34 came into being. This Catta is made by AG Russell in Japan. Most likely in Seki Japan. If you never owned the Japan Catt your missing out on some nice knives.
