Hello AAPK members,
Hit upon this site while doing some research and had to join up. I've collected knives since I was a kid and I'm 50 now. Mostly Case, Buck, Gerber, and Browning, i.e., US made knives- at least they were US made. Recently got back into the hobby in earnest focusing on older Case Stockman patterns (pre-1990). Favorite knife is probably an 80's vintage Browning lockback I got when I was in college. Real sexy lines with a brass/rosewood inlaid handle. Also fish for smallies in rivers (hence the Jigslinger handle), pick acoustic guitar (folk, bluegrass, and old-time), and I'm a sports and history junkie. Look forward to hanging around with other knife fans. Thanks for reading my intro.

Jigslinger, Welcome to AAPK!
::welcome::

You should be right at home here.
I live in Oregon, about 45 minutes from the Gerber factory.
I bass fish too, smallies and large mouth in the Willamette River mainly, but I do make it to the Umpqua River as my folks have a little farm on the Umpqua.
Good smallie fishin' in the Umpqua: http://www.theoregonangler.com/smallmou ... ishing.htm

Ya' even got a few Blue Grass playin' folk on here, tjmurphy will probably be along directly to welcome you.
TJ is the Blue Grass ringleader 'round here!

Welcome aboard!
Y’all bring your own pole and fillet knife! :lol: :lol:
