CASE Stockman year manufacture question?

Post by gudd8768 »

Hi,

I inherited a Case pocketknife from my father and I am trying to nail down the year it was made and I'd appreciate your help.

The main blade is labeled as:

CASE XX
STAINLESS
USA
******* (6dots)

Reverse has:

6347HP
SSP

Also the main blade is etched "TESTED XX RAZOR EDGE", and the 2 sub blades have SS on them at the hinge.

Thank you so much!

If the S in the word Case is conventional looking, the knife was produced in 1974, if the S looks more like a lightening bolt the knife was made in 1984.

gudd, That is a 1974 knife.
Life would be meaningless if we couldn't wish for anything.

In addition to the lightning bolt "S" on the 80's Case Knives, the dots were placed above USA rather than underneath as they were in the 70's.
