case xx pretty sure is fake...

the stag handles have been added correct? as far as i know case didnt make a stag handled xx barlow.

also the pins are extremely suspicious.

someone tell me if i am correct.

it is a 62009 instead of a 52. thats tells a tale.

It's not a fake . It has just been rehandled in stag . He clearly shows the pattern number in the photo as 62009-1/2 and calls it stag or bone . He may not know any better .

Would it be correct to say that it is a USA or 70's dotted knife instead of a XX??

when a seller adds a statement like (all original) i would say he knows how the stag scales got on a bone or more likely delrin handled frame plus it was made in atleast 1965 there may be dots hidden under bolster

Another clue is that prior to the 1980's Case never made the 009 barlow pattern in stag.
