Thanks Caleb. Thanks Paul.
Its going right in my pocket as soon as I get my hands on it. I cant wait. Every once in a while a certain knife does it for you and this one does it for me LOL! I own more expensive ones, older ones, bigger ones etc... but this one just sings to me. I feel like a little kid. Know what I mean??

The 2011 Red Stag---is really different, from the Red Stag,of the previous years___the "whole slab" is not dyed ?? your preference,as to which you like better ????______both have their own appeal ::tu::

Monk.....

That took a little time for the Red Stag timeline....far and away the Red Stag of old is my #1 choice......some of this new stuff it's hard to tell the difference between Burnt and Red Stag

Maybe it's time for GEC to stop letting everyone there take a turn at stirring the pot and let the one with the best eye take over...I can be more blunt if necessary...

I agree. When the new red stag pics started showing up, I thought there was some kind of mistake. Vaguely reddish burnt stag is a bit of a letdown after the deep blood red stuff of yore, but I'm trying to keep an open mind until I actually see it firsthand. ::undecided::

Jim____I very much ""AGREE"" with ya'____the "new Red Stag"" does not hold a candle,to the ""Old style""____the 2010 #23 Red Stag,in the picture above,is a prime ""EXAMPLE"" of when the change, started happening ( I bought it from a dealer, only showing one side **and that won't happen again !!!!)___it is the most ""mis-matched "" knife, that I own,and should have never been let out of the factory this way ?????? I hold onto the knife to remind myself ::doh:: ,why I will see both sides, before buying stag !!!!!!!!!::dang:: _______so now it looks as if,they can no-longer, dye the entire slab /scale, so we get the partial dye look,on both sides ?? ::shrug:: _____at least it matches and I can live with ""Matched Scales"" ::uc:: _____Monk ::tu::

Corvus...

Those are great looking examples of Red Stag..better lock your doors

Monk....

Yep I have a piece too that I keep to remind myself, but at least yo have one side that looks good.....

I hope GEC takes note of this and either dyes completely or drops Red Stag all together..................

I have 3 "old" red stag knives that I like very much. I haven't held or seen the new red stags in person. I readily admit that I thought they made a mistake not labeling them as burnt stag. I think they should have just continued with the full dye. It should have been changed after the full dye has already been established. You can't find the old ones either so there is definitely demand for them.
