BERTRI ? Old Knife w/Iron Bolsters-Horn Panels
This is an old knife I picked up. From what I can see it was made by BERTRI wich is an Italian knife maker (David Berti in 1895). The company is still in business. If I have the name off the blade correctly?? If I do, Berti makes some fine knives today that are extremly high priced. See Link:

Questions: Do you read the blade marking as I see it BERTRI ? Also how old do you feel this knife is ?
Observation: The knife apears to be a folding "eating" knife by the shape of the blade. How do you feel about that observation of mine ?

I read the stamp the same as you, Draac.
Very interesting old knife!
I note that the pull is on the pile (back) side of the blade! Very unusual!
Nice birds eye rivets also.
It looks like it has a "Wharncliffe" blade, but I could be wrong
It definitely has a European look to it.
very neat find!

Thanks for the nice comments, I'm loving this knife the more I look at it.
The "Birdseye" rivets seem to be aluminum with steel pins. Aluminum was worth more than gold in the old days in fact Napoleon had all aluminum flatware at his dinning room table, it was a status symbol then.
