Found this at a garage sale in Fairborn Ohio. Goins' Encyclopedia only listed the name with no information. LGIV listed it as an import brand made in Germany? circa1890?(question marks are his not mine). The steel pivot pins say German to me. The tang stamp says something else.
All opinions and information wanted. Whatever it is I like it. 3 1/2" closed.
EDIT The tang reads Warren over Bros over Sheffield.

It is a knife made in Germany for Warren Bros. then imported into Sheffield.
Most of these style knives have retailers stamps on them, not the manufacturer.
I have a dozen different examples all with different tang stamps

Yep, what Miller Bros said. I've found a couple of those too.

Miller Bro's and Iron Hoarder
Thank you for the infomation. That would explain the cold stamps.
Without a country in the tang stamp would this knife date before the McKinley tariff act?

The McKinley Tariff Act only applies to knives imported into the US. If your knife was made for the British market the act wouldn't apply.
