stag pen

i got a stag pen cant find any info on.got case xx on the blade,so it should be 1940 to 1965.back side of the blade 5233.is it a 40 to 60 or what?

ive always thought that the 40-49 didnt have pattern #s but im not real clear on that..if it just has case and XX under it it should fall in the 40-64 range
