looking for info
I just got a Case knife my grandfather had owned before he died and I'm looking for some information about it. I have determined that it is a 1980 stockman 3318HE. What I can't find about it is the symbol on the handle. There is a double headed eagle holding a sword on the handle. I'm guessing the knife is also of a limited edition because the number 198 is engraved on the end. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I'm not 100% sure about this, but I would guess that it is a club knife or special factory order. I'm pretty sure that a double headed eagle is a symbol of freemasonry, and I know that Case has manufactured several knives in the past that salute freemasonry. I assume this is one such knife.
