Back on page 5, PaulsVintage wrote in reference to a Robeson Jimmie Allen two clip blade jack:
"Joe, here is a picture of the knife from the NKCA gallery . thought it was odd myself"
My questions are, What exactly is the NKCA gallery? How does one get there? And why do they have photos of my knives there?
Or, did Paul mean to type "AAPK gallery" instead of NKCA?

Quite the show here. I really like that M&W knife.
Got this Conn. Cutlery (Naugatuck) stabber jack yesterday. The back of the blade serves as the kick and it has a lot of snap left in it.

Thanks Paul. I had never heard of Marsh Brothers before (just looked it up in Levine's Guide), but that is a very cool knife you have. Pinched and threaded bolsters, cool shield, handle material, swedges, etc. etc.

I don't know if the pattern is rare or not, but I think the worked bolsters and the shield, which seems real out of place on the knife, are after-market personalization.
I like it though.

The Patent on the blade refers to the design that you see on the bolsterstjmurphy wrote: I think the worked bolsters and the shield, which seems real out of place on the knife, are after-market personalization.

Re: Lets show some Old and Rare ones.
Almost forgot this one. JACK KNIFE SHOP. After Benjamin Chong retired from selling knives at Union Stock Yards in Chicago he turned it over to his boys. That would be in the 1930.s and they changed the tang stamp from JACK KNIFE BEN CHICAGO to JACK KNIFE SHOP CHICAGO. This one still has an etch "JACK KNIFE SHOP HANDY DANDY". They had UNION STOCK YARDS on the spey blade tang just like the first ones. If you are lucky enough to find a real old one made by Napanoch or Winchester all the blades had JACK KNIFE BEN CHICAGO on the front and UNION STOCK YARDS on the back.

Thanks Trail. The blade looks a little better in person. (had a couple of custom makers tell me they'd like to make that pattern.)trail wrote:ObsidianEdge, that Conn. Cutlery might be the perfect knife, to my eye.
Great post on the Jack Ben knives, and a super knife!

Hide all your knives with rose wood and ebony handles. The F.B.I. raided Gibson guitars because they were importing wood from India for frets. Watch out T.J.

I ain't a skeert!!
C.F. Martin Guitar Company uses the exact same woods as Gibson and gets them from the same place, yet they were not raided. The difference between Gibson and Martin?? Gibson contributes to Republican candidates and Martin contributes to the Democrats (I read this and cannot attest to it being true). Not the first time the Feds have raided Gibson.
