ID on this German Eye Brand knife from Thailand?

I picked this up at the local street flea market in Chiang Mai, Thailand the other day.
It is an original with the proper stamp of the brand on the blade, and on the other side is what appears to be an additional engraving that says in Thai the equivalent to: Stainless Steel.
It is in very good nick and I can't find a single example of such a knife anywhere online.
Any ideas regarding pedigree and age? Was this something for the Thai market? Value?
By the way, the photos are a bit misleading; the actual color of the metal has a slight golden tinge to it. The photos make it look silver color and this not the case here.

This is not a rare pattern among Eye Brands. Eye Brands had wide distribution during the 1960s and 1970s, maybe into the 1980s. There is a similar pattern with Thai writing on the handles. I do not believe that most have the tang stamp in Thai. I'll try to post a photo of the pattern with the Thai writing.

I used to have something like that, I think mine was imported during the Dutch colonialism in Indonesia.
here the only pics left, batavia,soerabaja,semarang and medan are Indonesian cities names.

Possibly low grade Thai gold handles like this letter opener from there. I brought it back from there in '72. Beautiful country and beautiful people.

Nope, not Turkish. It is Thai, at least according to a Thai native who participates here on the forum. His translation is: Borisat Utong-Fak Chamkat = Utong-Fak Company Limited, Phutaen Chamnay Singka - Tra-Ta = Distributor "Eye" Brand, Nay Prathet Thai = in Thailand.

Theblindog's friend's knife is exactly what I have.
And as Paladin says, this knife is 1960-70 issue.
Any idea of value?
Oh, and that knife with the Thai script on it is great; I'd love to get one of those. I live in Thailand and am currently studying reading and writing. Any idea where one might be for sale (or trade)?

OK, here is a dumb question:
What is the function of the forked tool? I thought it was to open a tin can, but I can't for the life of me figure out how that could work.
Or is a tool for shoe leather or something?

The forked tool is a can opener. Punch the sharp end through the top of the can near the rim. Using the turned out portion of the top "fork" on the can rim as a fulcrum, lift up. Rock the knife back down, shove it towards the uncut portion of the can lid and repeat. Can openers on knives are not intended for daily use.

I can't get the turned part on the rim, but it can run along the inside of the top along with the cutting tool. It will open the top, but with a smaller circle than the circumference. It will open a tin, but in a very "emergency" way.
