Dale (Orvet) - Thank you! Thank you!

Post by jerryd6818 »

Your generosity overwhelms me.

I want to show everyone what came in the mail today from Dale (Orvet). He mumbled something about since the surgery, it wasn't comfortable in his hand anymore. This is exactly what I have been wanting for some time. I don't have the words to express the depths of my gratitude. A simple thank you just doesn't seem enough.

For the uninitiated, the beads represent the Viet Nam Service Ribbon.

Orvet built me a custom BUCK 110 a few years back, and it is still among my favorites. Great guy that Dale.

I have to go with what Glenn said, Dale is the Best, and add that AAPK is the home of some of the most caring and sharing people on the WWW. ::tu::

Ok guys, you are making me blush.

Seriously; folks here at AAPK have given me lots over the years; friendship, companionship, information about knives, advice, encouragement and counsel, even knives and knife parts.
People on here like LT (lt632ret), Johnnie Fain (jonet143), Bryan (Bryan) & Bill Wolf (El Lobo) to name just a few.

I am just trying to give back a little bit of what I have received.

Sorry about that Dale, I was thinking of when you pat a dog – they just roll over, and indicate they will take as much as you can give them. I hope rollover is not a bad word in the US… Ken

Dales the Man! I bought a reel sweet Camco Barlow from him about a year ago. He built it for me after the one I thought that I bought was sold just prior to me hitting the enter key to buy it. Gave me a real sweet deal and the best certificate of authenticity that I have ever seen!
