chatroom earlier heres the pictures "old schrade"
Hello everyone I am a new member very impressed with the web site a lot of great people with a ton of knowledge. I was in the chat room earlier trying to find out any info on a knife a friend at work gave me everyone was very helpful but wanted to see pics not being very computer savvy I had to wait for my wife to get home to help get the pics on this fancy glow box lol well here they are if anyone else could lend a hand with info I would greatly appreciate it. Its a Schrade the markings one the tang say SCHRADE CUT CO. WALDEN NY. on the clip point and U.S. PATS. DEC. 21, 09 SEPT. 13, 10 JUNE 6, 16. Both sides have the same push button and slide lock it opens like a switch blade if anyone can tell me more about it that would be great thanks a lot.

i am assuming that the knife is in near mint condition for it to have all that printing on the tangs ledgable. good value, but i am afraid i cannot help you there. i am sure someone will come along with the right knowledge.

Welcome RJW!
According to Mark Erickson, that looks to be a Schrade Model #7504-3/4S with Tortoise celluloid handles and a clip and pen blade combo. In 2004 when his book Antique American Switchblades was published, he put mint value of that knife at $575. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the feedback I found more like it by searching the model number not the same scale material but the same knife I am excited to tell my friend at work about it but a little apprehensive hope he doesnt want it back
he was remodeling a house and tore out a wall and found it inside the wall he brought it in to work and gave it to me knowing I collect knives (Boker) but this is the oldest and really a highlight to my collection!
