Self portrait??

Maybe we should have a contest to name him. The winners prize, could be your undying gratitude.

Barry - That is exceptional !!
Very nice job of lightly coloring some of his features, top shelf stuff.
(I had a hard time looking past the knife for the first few minutes......

Thanks IM! Jerry, you're right. He does look a little like me... especially with that firearm.
Here he is ready to ride shotgun:

Wow, nice work Barry!
Reminds me of Carvin’ Don’s rendering of Johnnie Fain a bit.
Excellent carving!

That would be awesome, Don. If only it wasn't, what, 3,000 miles?
DANG! Someday I will make it a point to come visit some of you boys back east.
I had some fun with this guy and only cut myself XXX times! Nice thing, though; those cuts from a sharp knife heal real quick! I bought one of them protective gloves, but seems like cheatin' to wear it.

Re: Need a lil' help around here...
Shuks...I'd rather head out yer way! Beautiful country out there ... Maybe one day...
Yer right 'bout them cuts from a sharp tool...nice and clean! ... still can hurt, but clean and easier to stop the bleedin'.
I'm embarassed to say...but I wear one of them gloves when I'm carvin' in my home...especially when workin' on a real tegious place, like toes on a hillbilly...I've cut myself twice bad, both times carvin' with the grain, very small/shallow spot and popped the toe off and blade into forefinger
funny thing is, even if I had had a glove on , it wouldn't stop a puncture, just a slice... I have learned to slow down.
Keep on carvin' and I look forward to your future works of art
