Post by jonet143 »

i think this would be considered a "tactical" knife. 7" oa. mirror polished partially serrated blade. looks like spyderco serration. hard plastic locking sheathand handle. made in italy. any info?

The Gerber line up has had a few of these... Made for diving or whitewater river rafting. The Gerber 'River Master' and River Shorty are a couple of models, both very close to this one. All made in italy.

Tactical? Given the present meaning of that term in the knife world, yeah, this could be a tactical knife. On a wild and wooly down river trip with a loose line hung up on a rock, the situation could be life or death if you couldn't draw your knife and cut that rope fast.

jonet143 I know of 2 states that would not let their people own that knife.

Not because of it being tactical but because it has a sharp blade on 2 sides.

Looks to me like a KOOL under water knife. With a true grip handle.
