I would like to see closeups of both those handles.
I can't tell if they are stag or bone.
Is it eaiser to tell with the knife in your hand?
Thanks all for all the great comments, here is the backside looks like stag but not 100 % sure

Whether bone or stag, it is good looking!
It is worn down enough that it is hard to tell what exactly it was to begin with.
Perhaps someone who knows more about that company than I do can tell from the pattern or a catalog what handles were standard on that pattern.

It sure is a beauty, especially considering it is 135+ years old!

That looks better at 135+ years old than I look at 60, and it probably has better snap too!

Here is one of the nicest old Robeson knives I have found in quite some time.

It has never been used, has all the original factory polish, and looks almost like it left the factory yesterday :o

My pictures are lousy but the knife looks much better in person :)
