Sorry everyone I couldn't get these pics to post here so i've put them on the MSN site agian.

Check out this First Generation Fight'n Rooster ( Dixie Switch Knife) I found yesterday.

I cleaned it up, it was pretty nasty when I found it.

Thats a very nice looking Cell handle you have.

Just to help you out check out the post called Celluloid Handles here.
Lots of very good info there. At the top when you see the word SEARCH
click on it and type in celluloid handle then enter.

Hey Bro,thats a sweet tooth pick!! IMO,Fight'n Roosters are some of the best knives produced.

Those handles are Killer!! Whats the closed length?

Nice knife...

Appears to be the one pictured on page 223 (letter G) of the Fight'n Rooster book. Pre-1982 in Christmas Tree celluloid. 1 of 600.

Bill, would you happen to know where I can get a copy of that book and any other price guides of any kind , I have all kind of knives such as Case, Bulldog, Fight'n Rooster, I even have an old, old Roberson. But I have only one price guide and it really doesn't have much in it other than Case.

Thanks for any info.

By the way , does that book give a price range on this knife?

Hey Fatman, great knife!, you can pick the book up here from James Parker (Jims son) for around 35$ usually. It's not a price guide tho.

JMO...eBay has really changed the way knives are priced. The hobby moves so quickly with what's hot...and what's not...that I'm not sure any books are really valuable as a form of price guide. I do consider Goins' Encyclopedia to be invaluable for information, but it has very little to do with trying to price knives.

Again, JMO.

Hey there Fatman,

If you have Fight'N Roosters you have a good knife, I have owned several and miss everyone I gave up..They are some of the most original and inventive knives on the market..

Very nice knife, I hope you get a chance to get a few more..

Well we are alot closer than 3 hours apart then. I'm only about 60 miles east of Florence. If ya feel like it sometime get up with me and i'll bring my buddy who has several knives and we'll come do some trading or at least looking.

By the way , I picked up 5 more Fight'n Roosters yesterday , i'm working on a pen full of Roosters. I'll get some pics when I get'm clean and post for you all to see.

Fight'n Rooster's are Top Shelf knives. I am a liitle afraid of their early celluloids though, I see now they have started using another material on the newer ones. Just keep an eye on them, the celluloids that is.

Kinda Of topic, but On:
Has anyone here had or have one of Parker's books that did not fall apart?

The new Fight'n Rooster handles are Z-Lox Acrylic and are guaranteed (spelling?) for life. They are not supposed to deteriorate or gas out. I have several of them for sale in my AAPK store North 40 Cutlery.

About 25 pages have fallen out of my book
