In addition to what I carry every day (SAK, Spyderco Spydercard, and whatever is clipped to my pocket) I would grab my Schrade Old Timer 125 OT.

First would be my Glock 19 and my .38 special pocket pistol, then my Helle HE30 and my Case 31SAB. I don't own any long guns but that will change shortly.

Buck 119, sling the mossberg 500 over my back, grab the new Palmetto State Armory AR15, and grab my BoB.

Very interesting topic! Over a career of nearly 50 years I have asked many people this question when affected by both hurricanes and forest fires.
Almost without variation the ladies select photos and various memorabilia. Men are almost universal in answering "hunting and fishing stuff".
In the face of some sort of violent outbreak,(and we are not immune to this you know) at my age I believe I'd plan on boarding up and hunkering down here at the house, at least until Mitch got here!
I'd count on my Sig 228 and my Dad's 1911 to get the job done. I'll have my Winchester model 12 in 12 gauge setting nearby as necessary.
Again, good topic, good question! ::tu::

Depends mostly on, how quick, how light, how fast, and how far I have to go.

Oh Zed, it's a family tradition where I'm from

Willie,
Those are some fine looking cowboys, and I don't mean the drugstore kind! I was curious to know where that photo was taken. It looks a lot like home. ::tu:: 8)

That was taken down in the Carrizzo Springs/Del Rio area.

Those two were tougher than wet leather. Had to be to get by in that country.

I like simple in tight situations... so

Ruger Blackhawk in .357 with some hand loads of my own... I have a Lever Action in the same caliber and a 12 gauge double, all of which fit my saddle well. I have a couple straight blades I made and would take a harness jack as well as a tomahawk. Covers any critters here about, 2 or 4 legged. Not to sound all survivalistst nut case, but I do have some gear stashed at the back of the property where I would head. Plenty of good water and shelter far from any road, nobody is going to find it or us...

hmm.....for things that make noise, I would take along the SAR-1, the Winchester 1200 defender, the Winchester .30-30 ......and the Browning Hi-Power. For cutting - probably just throw one of my knife rolls in.....they are all near 100 years old - figure they will still get the job done.

Owd Wulie: Like your entire selection and especially the HI Power. I so much prefer steel frames and among those, the Hi Power is tops. My long gun choice would be my minty WWII Carbine. Not much "umph!" I realize but I increasingly favor light weight.

On my ruck I'd carry my BK&T Reinhardt Kukri. On my belt a Spivey Sabertooth. In my pockets, a Crenshaw saddle horn trapper; also a Queen/Dan Burke Large Barlow.
