Case knife box [1968] & Schrade 1940t question
I got a few items yesterday that restored my faith in yard sales. The first was a True Temper machete that was marked US 1944, the scabbard was marked US BOYT -44-. I mistakenly posted it in "OTHER SHARP OBJECTS" instead of "MILITARY RELATED KNIVES & TOOLS". I also got a Case knife box dated Oct 2 1968. It's in good condition and looks like it was supposed to have six Case pocket knives, pattern 61048. Then I got a Schrade 1940T that has the word LADDOX on the blade. I can't find any reference to LADDOX in any of the earlier posts at AAPK. Would this have been something that Schrade would have stamped on the blade for some company and it was unrelated to any model or type of Schrade knife? There are yard sales that sell things besides clothes and toys. Al

Regarding the Schrade, my guess is that they were made for BASF as an advertisement for their Laddok herbicide. Free Schrade with the purchase of a 55 gallon drum of this stuff...

Thanks Trail, I think you got it. I didn't know what Laddok was. I'll keep the information with the knife. Thanks again, Al
