Scrap Yard Knives

Post by TKC »

Scrap Yard Knives are a spin off of Busse knives. I own a Scrap Yard Scrapper 6. This is my first foray in the Busse family of knives. I have been wanting a Busse for a long time. So, I thought I would get in on the Scrap Yard Knives. They are excellent! MY Scrapper 6 is in incredible! I recently ordered a Street Scrapper 4; it has an INFI blade & Res. C handles. Res-C. The Street Scrapper 4 sold out really quickly. Has any one else here have any Scrap Yard Knives?[/b]

I went to their web site last week, after I saw their add in Blade Magazine. Some nice looking knives, but I mainly stick to folders. But I I needed another fixed blade they would go up on the list as a possibility.

I've had two Swamp Rat knives, the original spinoff of Busse. I sold one, the other is a great knife (Bandicoot). Is this a legal/partnership name change...or what?

Scrap Yard is the third spin off of Busse knives. I have a Scrapper 6, and it is a great knife. I am very happy with it. I do have on order a Street Scrapper 4; which is SYK first knife with INFI. I LOVE the Res.C handles. With Scrap Yard Knives, you get a fantastic knife, and one that is reasonably priced. You get a high quality knife, and one from the Busse family of knives, but with a better price. At least this is my opinion of Scrap Yard Knives. Now mind you, I am very much into folders too. I like Scrap Yard Knives so much, that I have sold off al my Bark River fixed blades.[/b]

I know a little about Busse knives or at least the earlier one's. Nice knives and well made, my favorite is The Battle Mistress. I do not think it is made anymore, that is one I should have kept.

I have a old buddy and hunting partner who loves Swamp Rat Knives. He has several. The quality is outstanding and I have admired many of them that he owns. Good-looking stuff! ::tu::

Here is a link to their web site for those of you who are unfamiliar with Swamp Rat Knives: http://www.swampratknifeworks.com/

Every Swamp Rat Knife I have seen has been extremely solid and impressive. I think my buddy had mentioned Scrap Yard Knives, but I do not recall seeing one. I found their web site if anyone is interested: http://www.scrapyardknives.com/intro.htm

It is interesting to see a company whose product is so successful that they have not one but two spinoff companies making products that compete with their own. Interesting stuff, thanks for the heads up.
