Information about Rogers Knife Co.

I have a small pen knife measuring 2.5" in length (closed). I'm new at knife collecting and identification but the handle is yellow and brown with serrated parallel lines (bone?) It has two blades and all I can see is "Rogers Knife" or maybe "Rogers KnifeCo". (Rust and wear have removed the ability to read the stamping on both blades.) I've looked on Google, eBay, and in several pocket guides but mainly find references to William and Joseph and Sheffield Rodgers (with a 'D' in the spelling). The knife looks like it's at least 20-30 years old from the wear and grime. The smaller blade has a nail file portion that starts 1/3 down from the tip.

Any thoughts about what type of knife this is? Is it valuable or uncommon? Thanks in advance.

That's a nice little pen knife. The more information you can get off the tang the better.
According to my book there were Rogers cutlers in Main, Mass., New Jersey, and two in Connedticut.
Also some in Germany.

I hope someone will come by and ID it with more authority than me. It's old. Don't drop it. Maybe get a little oil in the joints.

Stamped Rogers Knife Co.

A knife made in Germany, at least 50 years old.

Dimitri, wouldn't the tip bolsters and that helical jigging pattern on the bone make it quite a bit older than 50 years? Here I go guessing again.

I understand bolsters are the parts that strengthen the knife but in pocket knives, are those brass tips on each end of the handle considered bolsters also?
