They do look good. IMO, that jigged cherry wood is really nice though most pics don't do it justice. Looking forward to seeing what they'll do the N'fields in.

Well, if what memory remains serves, there will be a jigged bone, burnt and gen. stag, cocobolo (I think), and a couple others I can't afford either. ::shrug::

At first I couldn't figure out why they posted two pictures of the same knife. Took me a minute to catch on to one has a liner lock and the other doesn't. :oops:

I had to go back and check the 2008 price for the same knife;

$134.95 ea.

I guess this means they'll all go up in value/price. ::shrug:: Sambar Stag must be getting pricey!

Speaking of "sticker shock," I guess GEC is making a run of Gen. Stag Whalers.
I don't know the price yet but I hope I'm sitting down when I hear it.

Looks like stag and gold prices are inter-related. :| I opted to buy some in cocobolo instead; you get twice as many for the same price! I figure I've got a lot of stag but not too many in coco, and besides, who knows how long it'll be available? At the rate they're burning rain forest and destroying habitat, natural materials are bound to become scarcer. I heard the last Sambar (Indian) Stag was exported back in 2000, and nobody but the Indian govenment knows when or if more will be exported in the future. I recently bought several stag paired slabs that have been in the country for awhile for use in future rehandle projects. Get it while you can, boys! ::undecided::

Barry-

I think your prediction about the future scarcity of sambar stag is dead on. I don't mean to hijack your thread, but could you recommend a good place to buy stag slabs, and could you give us any tips on what to look for? Stag is just about the only thing I collect, and I hate to think of a day when the source dries up.

Thanks for the tip. Kousins Kustom has some nice looking blanks, although it takes some patience wading through their big inventory. I'm going to try them.
