CATTARAUGUS,CLOSED 1963,ROBESON-1965..WHAT HAPPENED?

Post by cattaraugus57 »

Been thinking about when at least 2 of the great cutlery co's went out of business in the 60's and why?
I was only 6 years old when Catt went out of business in 1963 and then Robeson in 65.
I had always heard the economy was very good during the 60's with the
United States experiencing its longest uninterrupted period of economic expansion in history.
Seems like an odd time for their demise when most companies were doing great and business was booming.

I'm sure I'm going to get a history lesson now,and that's what I'm after ::nod::
