Ive had this before when a buyer says he hasnt got the item but is very calm about it, i once had a guy saying that he postal service (uk) is slow and sometimes takes a week to comecattaraugus57 wrote:" i have no faith in any aspect of our government"
I'm with you on that!![]()
I once sent a set of Buick Turbo cyl heads to puerto rico and the guy kept saying he didn't get them, but he was so cool about it it made me nervous and I thought he was lying..
It took me a month to get the P O there to find the box,but it delivered the next day,
I figured since it weighed like 50 lbs the postman didn't want to carry it and that's why it sat.

I was a shipper/receiver for many years and I know how to pack things,so I never had a package come open, but man some people have no idea how to do it!it's not rocket science..

Re: BEWARE!CAREFUL SHIPPING KNIVES THROUGH THE MAIL!!
Several years ago, I ordered a couple of classic switchblades (one Olive Wood handle, the other Stag) from a place in Italy. I think the delivery time was given as a month to six weeks. After a couple of months they hadn't arrived so I sent an email to the individual.
His response was, "They must have been stolen from the mail."
My response was, "If that happened, it had to be in Italy because that doesn't happen over here." (I was still naive because it's a Federal offense.)
Another couple of emails in that same vein and at about the four month mark, the Olive Wood knife showed up. More emails with excuses incoming and "B.S. get a knife to me" outgoing and at about the six month mark, the stag knife showed up. I breathed a big sigh of relief and vowed to never again order from Italy or at least from that company.

Well the way Europe operates most of the Postal Workers have retired (with full pay) at age 29... Those that are still "working" have 51 1/2 weeks vacation and two days a week of union meetings so things run a little slow... Its called european socialismjerryd6818 wrote:
