I'll run this poll for 7 days, though some of you may know the answer as soon as you see it. Go ahead and vote/discuss.

Yes, they did and they merely changed colors. There weren't very many, the Red Sparkle became Horn Swirl (BKC 361 and BKC 361-A). The BKC 362 Tortise became BKC 362-A light Tortoise. They made this change, or similar ones to all of the first and second generation knives. There are 3 other Red Sparkles out the, but we are very unlikely to see them, they are all 1 of 1.johnnierotten wrote:Hey Hukk, did they make 1st G cattle kings with celluloid handles?..If so,how would you know if it was a 1st G or 2nd G?
Yes, I agree, this is a second generation knife and we see them much more often than we should if only 36 were made, in my opinion.olderdogs1 wrote:OK, Here is my take. The knife has the jigging of either a 2nd or 3rd generation knife, the 1st gen. jigging is smoother. If it was a 3rd gen knife it would have on the tang either 1993 or surg inst. if it was stainless steel. Also if it was a 3rd gen knife the bowtie would have BULLDOG inscribed on the shield. the jigging style in conjunction with the 1985 English steel tang stamp and the absence of the BULLDOG inscription on the shield identify it as a 2nd generation knife.
I might mention that even though the books call for 36 made in most instances they pop up more often that that number might indicate.
