Another Snag

Post by tjmurphy »

Here's one I just pulled off Ebay. Hibbert Spencer & Bartlett OVB. Blades are really crappy but I bought it for the handles, just love that olde tymie, pocket worn bone.

Greetings Bob and thanks a lot. There are several of us here in the Greater Cincinnati area. One of these days we ought to call a "coffee break".

Sounds good TJ, I`m out here in Illinois now(back to my grandparents roots) but get back to my boyhood home now and again......give me a few days notice and maybe we can get together.

I'm only eighty miles from Cincinnati and would love to meet some of the members. So far I have only met three members. Forensic Jim, Griz and Skoal.
If you plan a get together on a Saturday I would like to be there.

I'm about 50 miles east of Cincy. Elvis and Muskrat Man are 2 more. Keep going and we might have us a meet and greet and maybe a mini knife show. ::super_happy::

Hey that sounds like a good idea. If you guys put something together, I would be interested also. My wife's family lives around Cincinnati. We went to Kings Island this past weekend.

Thanks HP. I bought the knife just for the handles. The blades are trashed. I'm thinking of having it re-bladed, maybe with a Wharncliffe. I'm no judge on age but I would say that it is at least from the 40's-50's.
