Are the handles on this knife original or replaced?

I personally don't like the handles, note the lack of metal loss in the bolsters where the bone and the bolsters meet (the areas where the jigging in the bone is lower than the bolster will result in the bolster being hollowed out - for lack of a better term particularly the shield scale.
Assuming my concerns are unwarranted and the knife is legit - I would have to pass due to the crack in the clip blade at the tang.

The jigging,the color,and the fit to the bolster just doesn't look right to me but I am no expert.
If I am wrong I can learn something.

The bone just isn't right for a Remington.
I am going to post a photo of the one my dad bought in the 1930s at a hardware store in Stamford, Tx. I know it to be correct and you can easily see the difference in the jig.

Far from being an expert I think the knife is legitimate.As for the jigging creating little hollows on the bolsters it appears there is a slight amount of that in the picture.I have a lot of knives with jigged bone scales and some have those little divots and others do not.As for the coloring of the bone;there have always been variations in color;even from one side of the knife to the other.Exposure to light can create differences as well.
I think the seller represented the knife as honestly as he knew how.I looked at his feedback(over 4500)and his other items(that is his only knife).I don't believe he knows a whole lot about knives judging from the description.
I don't know what the going rate for 1123's is now(they used to look like telephone #'s)but I expect the seller will be pleasantly surprised when the bidding is over.Just my opinion folks.

Look at the poor attempt at fitting the bullet shield...
