latest aquisition

Post by jonet143 »

saw this on ebay and took a chance. it looked good in the picture. wildcat driller. 4 1/2" closed. beautiful bone. rigid - hand made - u.s.a. on tang. i don't know who actually made the knife but united is the distributor. it could have been made in their now defunct facility and it is top rate. 1 of 500. fit and finish are perfect. anyone know the manufacturer of it was a united subcontract? it looks like a canal street to me. comes in a fancy two piece box and black velvet sack. i think it would stand with any of the new guys in quality.

Hey Johnnie,

Great looking knife ::tu:: We would have to ask knifeaholic to verify but I believe that Queen Cutlery was the contractor for that knife. You don't see many of the Rigid knives but the ones I have seen have all looked first class. I was going to purchase a stag congress at a knife store I had been scoping but someone beat me to it... :x

Nice addition to your collection,

Sunburst

Wow!!! a super bargain. Made by Queen as far as I know.

No other US manufacturer is really capable of that kind of work, other than Queen and Canal Street.
